April 1, 2009 – A Rocket To The Moon at the Regency Grand Ballroom in support of the AP Tour.

With so much happening at AP Tour 2009, it was a little  hard to get settled in(especially with at least 10 people scattered throughout the photo pit). When A Rocket To The Moon started off the night, the melodic riffs and verses seemed to fire up the crowd even further. 

I shot this show at ISO 1600 on both cameras (I got a new one since the last show I shot, a canon 1d markII!) and the shutter for this set was around 1/60 more or less. Rocket’s lights were very consistent and bright near the center of the stage. It might be the venue’s set up because most of the other sets were like this too, but the lighting in the back and the sides were a bit dim or flat. Hopefully I can get a winning shot of the drummer the next time I shoot A Rocket To The Moon.
